Along with our proud sponsor, the East Sangerville Grange, we’re excited to offer you the freshest, locally grown/produced, collection of goods from right here in the Maine Highlands! One-stop-shopping for the best our community has to offer.
What is an online farmer’s market?
Imagine your favorite farmer’s market where you can stroll to each vendor and select the freshest local products and get your weekly dairy, veggies, meat, bread, flowers, and much more. You get to know the people who produce these items, you get healthy, nutrient-dense foods and products, and know they are produced right in your own community.
Meanwhile, the vendors have been at work, and traveling, for hours before the market opens. Typically, they don’t sell everything they harvest, pack, and display. There’s a lot of wasted time, effort, and product.
An online market allows our vendors to know exactly how much of what they need to provide--fresh items will be harvested or prepared for your specific order, and non-perishable goods will be hand-selected just for you. An online farmers’ market also offers a safer way to shop, particularly for those concerned about social distancing, as fewer hands will be handling the goods, and no money or credit cards will be exchanged in person. We believe it’s a better, safer way to connect you with your local food system.
Not only is it more convenient for the farmer/producer; it’s also more convenient for the customer. You can shop your favorite vendors, or shop by category, from the comfort of your own home. You can purchase items from multiple vendors with only one transaction. Fill your basket, and when you go to checkout there is only one easy, and safe, PayPal transaction.
We’re glad you’re here! Stay a while. Shop around.
