LOMAH (Land Of Milk And Honey) farmstead is seated on a 16 acre piece of land located in Sangerville, Maine.  We grow fruits and vegetables, keep honeybees, pasture raise chickens and dairy sheep, produce maple syrup, and handcraft natural soap and body care products.

Our soap and body care products are made using natural, organic, local, and Fair Trade ingredients.  Many of our farm products are used in our soaps, such as: fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, luffas, flowers, herbs, seeds, honey, maple sap/syrup, kombucha, and beeswax.  For the things that we can’t produce ourselves, we source locally as much as possible (such as lard, and goat milk).  The ingredients that we cannot obtain locally, we do our best to buy from Fair Trade and organic sources as much as possible (i.e., oils, butters, etc.). We want our soap to be beautiful and feel wonderful and nourishing to the skin, while supporting our local farmers as well as better social and environmental standards.

Being environmentally conscious, we package all of our products in recyclable materials.  We also list all ingredients used for all of our products (legally, it’s not required for soap) because we are proud of the natural ingredients we use.  We believe it’s important to know what’s in the products that are made to be applied on our bodies, and we assume our customers hold those same values, even if they don’t.  It’s our hope that our customers feel good about purchasing and using our products, and that our products make our customers feel good, too.

Our soaps are the primary product for our business, but we sell other bath and body care products as well. Currently, our body care product line includes: cold process bar soaps, whipped body butters, solid lotion bars, bath bombs, shower steamers, lip balms, face mask powders, salves, sugar scrubs, bath teas, and accessories (e.g., cedar soap decks; and knitted washcloths, soap saver bags, headbands, face scrubbies/cleansing pads), and luffas.  Our product line is evolving all the time.  Being a small business, we are able to take custom orders.  If you have any requests, let us know!
